There is something unique and memorable about a child's first trip to the airport. The people rushing around, the airplanes, the crew members...we can all think back to how magical that first takeoff was. That feeling is something we at Women in Aviation, Houston Chapter want young girls to be inspired by and to remember when they are choosing their career path. Girls in Aviation Day seeks to connect young girls to people and experiences in the aviation industry to inspire them to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. By introducing them to the airplanes, the crewmembers, and the exciting opportunities that await them in the aviation industry, we give girls the opportunity to soar!
