Girls in Aviation Day 2022

Girls in Aviation Day is an annual event put on by various chapters of Women in Aviation International with the goal of inspiring girls to expand their interest in aviation and explore the opportunities available in the industry. This year we will be hosting Girls in Aviation Day on September 24, 2022 at the Lone Star Flight Museum, located at the Ellington Airport.

INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION

There is something unique and memorable about a child's first trip to the airport. The people rushing around, the airplanes, the crew members...we can all think back to how magical that first takeoff was. That feeling is something we at Women in Aviation, Houston Chapter want young girls to be inspired by and to remember when they are choosing

their career path. Girls in Aviation Day seeks to connect young girls to people and experiences in the aviation industry to inspire them to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. By introducing them to the airplanes, the crewmembers, and the exciting opportunities that await them in the aviation industry, we give girls the opportunity to soar! Consider joining us on Saturday, September 24, 2022 to be a part of this incredible event!

Registration will close on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Activities Include:

- Aircraft Tours

- Photo Booth with uniforms and props

- Pilot Experience-Moody Pre-Flight - Simulator

- Flight Academy and Hall of Fame Scavenger Hunt

- Maintenance Activity sponsored by MIAT

- Career Fair Booths
